Gourmet Hike

A delicious mountain hike for all the senses.
Join us on a guided tour where magnificent mountain scenery meets local culinary delights. Led by our guide Caroline, the hike takes you along winding trails and through unspoiled terrain in the area around Copperhill. The hike is easy and accessible, with few steep climbs, so everyone can enjoy the tour at a leisurely pace.
As we hike, we stop to admire the magnificent views of Åreskutan, Renfjället, Mullfjället, and the legendary Suljätten. Caroline shares vivid stories about the area’s rich flora and fauna, as well as the fascinating history of copper mining at Fröå Mine.
The hike includes two well-deserved and delicious stops in the great outdoors:
Stop 1: We’ll serve a luxurious selection of local delicacies, including seed crackers from Huså, flavorful cold cuts and cheeses, and accompanying jams. These will be accompanied by refreshing Åre Soda, non-alcoholic beer, or a glass of wine from Jämtlands Vingård.
Stop 2: We'll wrap things up with authentic brewed coffee or creamy hot chocolate, enjoyed alongside a handmade, locally produced praline.
Date & Time: Wednesdays, July 1, 8, and 15, at 2:00 p.m.
Time required: About 1.5–2 hours.
Price: 295 SEK per person.
Meeting place: At the front desk of Copperhill Mountain Lodge.
Clothing: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy hiking boots (the terrain may be wet at times).
Important information: Maximum of 12 people per tour. In the event of persistent rain or strong winds, the activity will be canceled.
