Åre is famous for its challenging slopes, but also has plenty of areas for children and beginners. Freeriders have Bräcke Fun Park, which has raised many of the world’s best skiers.

NEW FOR ÅRE-BJÖRNEN 2010
There has been intense activity in Åre-Björnen’s ski field over the summer, so there’ll be plenty of new things to try out this winter:
- New lift to connect Högåsen with Björnen
- New slopes along the east and west side of Totthummeln
- Existing slopes have been widened
- New and more energy-efficient snow gun system, which means that Åre-Björnen will remain open until 1 May.

 A Family Hangout will also be opened in Björnen, where children can have fun on and off their skis.
