Dear friends,

It is with immense joy and pride that I can finally write that we have opened the hotel! Many people have come to visit us and it has been wonderful to receive all their congratulations. Åre showed its most beautiful side on the weekend that we held the official opening; lots of snow, a seasonal atmosphere, sunshine and moonlight. We were also honoured to receive a visit from the architect responsible for the hotel – American Peter Bohlin, who has Swedish ancestry. He is very pleased with his creation on the top of Förberget in Åre. Thank you for all the support, all the cheers and warm embraces!

Raining stars

We are also very proud to have been awarded five stars by SHR (the Swedish Hotel and Restaurant Association). This makes us Sweden’s first five-star hotel outside of the major cities. The hotel inspectors were here at the weekend and examined our rooms and suites, common areas, service and standard. They went through a long list of 130 different criteria, including everything from the number of hangers in the wardrobe and the size of the rooms to whether there was luggage transport, a staffed gym, à la carte restaurant and 24-hour room service.

“In-between days” with extra everything

Relax between Christmas and New Year and take a few lazy, luxurious in-between days with us. On 25–30 December you can stay in a suite, including breakfast, for just SEK 995 per person/night.

The first wedding at Copperhill

Last week we were honoured to host our very first wedding. The happy couple, Farid Tafazoli and Anja Pasic from Linköping, wanted to get married in an extraordinary place and they chose Copperhill Mountain Lodge. We are very proud, and wish the bride and groom the very best of luck in the future.
